What I really love about Sam Amidon's playing, and what I try hardest to channel when I'm learning his songs,  
is the way his mind seems to wander through them, as if he's simply sitting on a porch somewhere with you 
after a long night, but good sleep and maybe what you're really doing is waiting for the water to boil.
