Bass: note that this can, of course, be played using either the fifth fret of the D string or the open G string... however, for tonal purposes, I find the D string to be a little nicer sounding, so that is how I have shown it here. Played with lots of fuzz... I use a guitar distortion pedal rather than an actual bass distortion and can easily approximate the sound on the recording.
